Click-In is used both as a mounting and a fastening system. This means that you no longer need to use blocks, support posts, wedges, or similar items, and you also eliminate sleeves, screws, nails, plastic plugs etc. during fastening.
What products does Click-In fit?
Our system can be used for all types of windows and doors. uPVC, aluminum, wood, or combinations of these materials.
Is the Click-In system tested?
Yes. Click-In is the only window mounting and fixing system in the world that has been tested and classified according to wind load requirements in accordance with EN 14351-1:2006+A2.2016 and EN 12210/1:2016 (3000Pa) as well as static load according to EN 1628:2021 (3.02kN) (1).
Is the system sustainable?
Yes. Our system covers several aspects of sustainable development in the construction industry. It is economical and efficient, safe and health-friendly, and environmentally advantageous with locally produced products, better sealing around windows, and a product prepared for reuse (2).
What guarantee does the system have?
We provide a limited lifetime guarantee on our products as long as the system is installed according to our installation instructions and those of the window supplier (3).
Where is the product manufactured?
Click-In is developed, designed and manufactured in Sweden.
Does Click-In contribute to better design?
Aesthetics are subjective and personal. However, we believe that by avoiding visible fastening in the window frame with screws and plastic plugs, you get a more beautiful product with cleaner lines.
Is the system patented?
Yes. Our system is functionally patented as the world’s first window mounting system (4).
What is the cost of Click-In?
Today, the common standard is pre-drilled holes in the frame and use of sleeves or mounting brackets, screws, plugs, wedges, blocks, etc. The money cost of Click-In will be approximately the same as traditional mounting. However, in addition, you get significant savings considering all the advantages our system has in terms of installation time, safety, sustainability, reuse, etc.
Installation
How much time is saved by using Click-In?
The time saved by using our system depends on the window’s size, type, where in the building it will be installed, and whether the window is installed on-site or prefabricated. Compared to industry standards, we estimate that you save a minimum of 40% of installation time, often a lot more (5).
Is it safe to install with Click-In?
Our experience shows that installers find Click-In to be a safer way to install windows and doors than current methods. Especially on larger door and window sections, Click-In provides significantly greater safety.
When is the Click-In bracket mounted on the frame?
The bracket is usually pre-mounted on the window by your window supplier. If the window arrives without brackets, you can install them on-site directly on the frame (6).
When are the screws mounted in the wall?
Click-In screws are pre-mounted before the windows arrives to your site. Use the mounting explanation where the screws should be fastened (7). When the windows arrive, they can be clicked directly into place, adjusted and prepared for sealing.
What can the Click-In screw be fastened into?
Our standard screw is a combination screw that can be fastened in wood and concrete. For lightweight concrete, we recommend plastic plugs.
How many brackets and screws are needed?
You must use a minimum of 4 brackets and screws, 2 on each side of the frame. For larger windows, we recommend more brackets and screws, as per the window supplier’s instructions (7).
Does the window need to be fastened after insertion?
With Click-In, the window is mounted and fixed in one operation. For larger, opening windows, there may be a need for extra screws through the frame in some cases. We always recommend following the window supplier’s installation instructions (7).
Can windows be installed from both inside and outside with Click-In?
Yes. Using Click-In as a mounting and fixing system allows installation from both inside and outside of the building. Additionally, windows can be installed in both horizontal and vertical elements when building in modular factories.
How do you install with Click-In in walls that are not leveled?
As a general rule, we recommend installing all windows leveled, regardless of the wall. You can use a template or a 360° laser to find the correct depth positioning of the screws in the wall.
Can the window be adjusted?
Yes. After the window is clicked in, you can adjust it horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. Use our adjustment tool if needed. Depth adjustment will not be necessary when the wall screws are correctly installed. Once the window is in the correct position, tighten the Click-In screws, and the window is fully installed and secured (6).
Can you install a window with one person using Click-In?
Yes. Depending on the window’s size and weight and the tools available, you can install windows alone or with one colleague using Click-In. On larger projects, we estimate that you can install windows with 30 to 50% fewer installers compared to current standards. The physical strain on installers during window installation is significantly reduced with Click-In.
Can Click-In be used for installing doors and sliding doors?
Yes! But unlike windows, Click-In is a mounting system for doors and will work as a aid to place the door or sliding unit in the opening before fastening it with recommended fastening methods (7).
Can a window with glass inserted be installed using Click-In?
Yes! The need to install the glass after fixing the frame in the wall is eliminated with Click-In. The system does not require screws through the frame.
After Installation
Can the window be removed after it is installed?
Yes. Both during the installation process if needed or later for replacement. To replace, the window can easily be clicked out of the opening and replaced with a new window using the same Click-In screws in the wall. Use the adjustment tool to loosen the screws from the bracket, then click out the window.
Windows installed with Click-In retain their original shape and function even after removal and can be reused in buildings with other U-value requirements.
Does Click-In contribute to better sealing of the house?
Yes. By using the system, you achieve a tight seal around the entire window or door. The system avoids blocks, wedges, or similar items that might hinder a perfect seal, contributing to better sealing for air, temperature, and sound.
After the window is installed, use your preferred sealing method. We do not recommend using traditional expanding foam that can affect the window’s shape.
Will there be fewer complaints with windows installed with Click-In?
Yes. Our system is designed so that work is done only on the outside of the frame, avoiding screws or holes through the frame. This significantly reduces the risk of damage to paint, lacquer, or glass compared to current installation standards.
Is there a need to readjust windows when using Click-In?
No, there is no need for readjustment. Over 100,000 windows have been installed with Click-In since its launch five years ago, and none of these windows have required readjustment. With current standards, windows are affected by wall movements due to screws going through the frame and into the wall. With Click-In, the window remains in its original position, avoiding this issue.
